Frequently asked questions
What does the office handle?
Four areas: notary services (certifying signatures and copies, translations, powers of attorney, wills, apostille, child travel consent), criminal defence, traffic matters, and civil law including employment disputes. The criminal and traffic practice is led by advocate and notary Igal Yoffe, the civil and employment practice by advocate Alexander Nieman.
Which languages do you work in?
Hebrew, English, Russian and Ukrainian — for consultations and for documents alike. A notarial translation can be certified where the notary commands both languages.
Where and when do you receive clients?
Two offices: Tel Aviv, 125 Menachem Begin Rd, Kiryat HaMemshala, floor E2, and Ashdod, 6 HaGdud HaIvri St, Top Sea Mall, 20th floor, office 9. Sunday to Thursday, 09:00–18:00, by appointment.
What do notary services cost?
The tariff is set by Ministry of Justice regulations, identical for every notary in Israel and updated on 1 January each year; VAT is added. The current table is on the notary services page. Legal work outside the tariff is quoted separately, before it begins.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Booking means no waiting and lets us tell you in advance which documents to bring. Call 08-8648090, message WhatsApp 058-764-8090, or write to yoffe.law@gmail.com.
Do you work with clients who are outside Israel?
Yes. Much of the work runs remotely: preparing documents, certifying translations, obtaining apostilles, and retrieving documents from other countries. Attending in person is required only where the notary must verify your identity and signature.
